Conf-IRM is conducted in accordance to generally accepted practices of academic conferences. The annual conference is directed by a Steering Committee which includes the current conference co-chairs, program co-chairs, and local organizing co-chairs.  It also includes the members of the Conf-IRM Executive Committee as well as the conference co-chairs of the immediate past conference.

All conference submissions are double-blind and peer reviewed by members of the international program committee. The review process is be handled by the Track Co-Chairs with final decisions made by the Program Co-Chairs. Details of current Conf-IRM are located at website of the “Current conference”.

EDAS conference system is used every year for processing of submitted papers.

Registration numbers of the Conf-IRM Conferences proceeding are:

  • Series:  ISSN: 2744-6220
  • Yearly (for 2024): ISBN  978-0-473-71035-4. All annual Conf-IRM conferences (since 2008) has their individual ISBN number assigned.

Unique feature of all Conf-IRM conference proceedings is that it contains only papers presented at the conference. This means that papers listed in the conference program but not presented at the conference are not included in the proceedings.

Up to Covid time proceedings were published on CD-ROMs or on USB Sticks. Since then, in the digital format only.

All presented papers (since 2008) are uploaded to “AIS Affiliated Conference Collections”:  (https://aisel.aisnet.org/conf-irm/) and free access is provided.

Editing of the conference proceedings is done by an representative of the Executive Committee (currently: L. Janczewski) and the current conference program committee co-chairs.

Financial structure of each annual Conf-IRM conference:

  • Source of funds:
    • Collection of funds from persons attending the conference. There are several different fees categories, like attendees (without presentation), presenters, students, doctoral students, etc.  There are no charges for sending a paper for a review.Donations from outside.
    • Organizers contributions.
    • Conference budget (debits and credits) is controlled by the Conference Executive Committee.

Advertising Conf-IRM conferences is done by publishing relevant Call For Papers at distribution lists of organizations accepting such adverts, like AIS, IFIP, various computer and information system associations.
