The international Conference on Information Resources Management (Conf-IRM) builds on the long tradition of the International Resource Management Association (IRMA) conferences. It provides a peer-reviewed forum for researchers to share contemporary research on developments in the fields of information systems and information management.
Conf-IRM seeks to promote effective and vibrant networking among researchers and practitioners and to foster the development of emerging scholars in the field. Consequently, the conference is designed to provide researchers with substantive feedback on their work. All papers are double blind reviewed and accepted papers are published in the conference proceedings. Selected papers will be eligible for fast-tracking to designated journals. Papers will be presented in a workshop like setting with time allowed for discussion and debate.
In addition to peer-reviewed paper sessions, the conference will include expert panel sessions, keynote addresses and tutorials. The first day of the conference will be devoted to workshops aimed at advancing participants’ careers. Workshops will be led by senior scholars and are likely to include a one half day workshop on “getting published” with break out groups for participant discussion, and second half day workshops on designated qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., conducting and analyzing qualitative data; structural equation modeling).
Held for the first time outside of North America, Conf-IRM 2009 will be hosted by the College of IT, UAE University , Al-Ain, UAE.
